Frequently Asked Questions

Scheduling Appointments

How do I make a spa appointment?

Please visit our appointments page for reservation office information and spa policies.

What time does The Spa open?

Spa services are offered daily beginning at 9 AM. Hours may vary with the season.

May I request a male or female spa therapist?

When scheduling your treatments, you may request a male or female therapist; however, we regret that we cannot guarantee this preference. All of our therapists are highly-skilled professionals and are well-trained in draping techniques to provide you with the utmost comfort for your spa experience. Our ability to schedule you with either allows us to provide you the widest range of appointment availability.

How old must I be to schedule an appointment?

Spa treatments are reserved for guests ages 18 and older. However, The Spa does offer a variety of services for today's teen ages 13-17 in our Garden Salon.

What do I do if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please notify The Spa a minimum of 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel or re-schedule to avoid a 50% charge for the service. All no-show appointments will be charged at full value.

Preparing for Your Appointment

How early should I arrive for my spa services?

Please check in at the spa reception desk 30 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, late arrivals may not receive an extension of scheduled treatments, so as not to inconvenience other spa guests. Should you arrive earlier, view our tips for beginning your relaxation.

Should I tell anyone about any physical, medical or allergy concerns?

Upon arrival to The Spa, you will complete a brief health history questionnaire to assist the spa technicians in providing you the best possible experience and to assure your maximum safety and comfort. We encourage you to disclose any pertinent health conditions that may affect your spa experience. Please also consider printing and completing the questionnaire prior to your visit to expedite your check-in process. Treatment descriptions throughout this website will indicate any health considerations, such as those services not recommended for guests who are pregnant.

What should I bring to The Spa?

We will never compromise your modesty. You will be given a robe and slippers to change into before your treatment. What you wear under the robe is up to you. Our therapists will only expose the portion of your body that is being treated at the time. A swimsuit is requested for the Spa Rain Shower.

What should I do with my jewelry and other valuables?

Please leave your jewelry and other valuables at home or in the safe deposit boxes located at the front desk of The Hotel Hershey.

May I bring my child to The Spa?

Our spa guests may also take advantage of the Cocoa Clubhouse at The Hotel Hershey, which welcomes children ages 5 and older. Based on availability; advance reservations required.

The Spa also offers select services for today's teen ages 13-17 years old in the Garden Salon.

During Your Spa Visit

May I use my cell phone while in The Spa?

So that an atmosphere of relaxation can be maintained and as a courtesy to other guests in The Spa, we ask that all electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, smart phones, etc.) be turned off and not used while in The Spa. For your convenience, we offer several house phones.

Do I need to tip the spa therapists?

For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added to your bill for all a la carte services and day spa packages. The service charge will be distributed to the spa therapists and support staff who served you during your spa experience.

May I use the Fitness Center and pools during my spa visit?

Use of the Fitness Center and indoor pool are complimentary for registered guests of The Hotel Hershey, as well as day spa guests. The outdoor pool complex is an added benefit extended to packages with three or more services. View fitness and pool details.

Where to lunch?

The Oasis provides spa guests with mid-day dining in the comfort of their spa robes. Reservations are required and must be made in advance to ensure seating availability. If we are unable to accommodate you in The Oasis, an in-room dining menu is available to service you at our indoor pool area. Trevi 5 and Harvest, two of the newest restaurants at The Hotel Hershey, are also available; however, guests must be properly attired and additional time may be needed for dining at these locations.
