The Deserving Dad's Story

My dad is a great man. He taught me how to play baseball and has taught me so much about American history and where our ancestors came from. He has been in physical pain most of his adult life. When I was young, he slipped in the shower and got a herniated disc in his lower back. He has had two surgeries.

In the past ten years, he's been diagnosed with diabetes and fibromyalgia. He had to retire early because there are days when he can't even get out of bed. He deserves to be pampered, but he would never sign up for something like this on his own.

I love my father so much, but the pain that he has been in has changed him. He can't even play a game of catch with us anymore or a game of wiffleball in the backyard because of this pain. He wishes he could, but his body won't let him anymore.
